That’s a Wrap on Our Art Show Season! Due to the tragic events of last summer the Jr/Sr High CAC Art Show had a new home this year. We were very fortunate to have a beautiful venue at the historic Shirley Opera House on April 29th-30th. The show was judged by former RCHS Art Teacher and local artist Mrs. Kathy Leitner. Many students and citizens were able to attend and enjoy the works presented by the Jr High and High School Art Students. The students had a reception Monday evening with treats, live caricature drawing, and even some karaoke music. The show was open to the public all day on Tuesday. The Best of Show was awarded to Xavia Brenn for her mixed media piece, “Bloody Mary, Quite Contrary.” Thank you to all those that came out to see the art show and support the art students through the silent auction!
